Stepping in to save the refurbishment of popular community pub
We were approached by our client Admiral Taverns to pick up this project after they were let down by a previous contractor. The site had new tenants, keen to make the pub more accessible to the local community and deliver an enhanced food offering.
The 5-week project included a full refurbishment and knocking through between two bars to make more flexible space. An existing rotten timber link corridor between the main building and separate toilet block was demolished and a new enlarged extension constructed. A former storeroom was converted into a fully functioning modern kitchen with new safety flooring and hygienic wall cladding. The electric supply was upgraded to 3-phase along with all new distribution boards. The existing partial heating system was removed, and a new heating and hot water system was installed. Externally a paved patio was created in the carpark.
