How suppliers can support the net zero future of the hospitality industry

The news that Accor has signed two new initiatives in its commitment to a net zero future, will inevitably lead the way for more hospitality businesses as companies address their sustainability objectives in the wake of COP26. Most large, UK firms will be forced by the Government to show how they intend to hit climate change targets in line with the UK’s 2050 net-zero target.

Suppliers to these companies will inevitably be pushed as the message is filtered down the line. Consequently, ensuring a transparent and sustainable supply chain is now more vital than ever in the hotel and restaurant business. As a supplier to the industry, we are continually looking at our impact on the world around us, taking small steps to make a big difference. One area is our commitment to source locally, which not only supports the local economy, but reduces our carbon footprint.
