Recognising that, by 2050 we must operate on a carbon net zero basis, the goal of reducing energy costs and minimising environmental impact during the renovation and refurbishment of hotels, restaurants and pubs is increasing. Both architects, designers and contractors are getting serious about green design.
This week’s news that Zeal Hotels has submitted a planning application for the development of a sustainable hotel at the Exeter Science Park will surely be the first of many.
