A challenging but fulfilling year
As we approach the end of another year, we are taking the time to look back and reflect on the achievements made and challenges overcome during the last 12 months.
While the pandemic hangover followed us into 2022, it certainly brought renewed hope and vigour. Of course, the year has delivered its own set of challenges. The war on Ukraine, supply chain issues and rising costs, but we have continued to do what we do best – honesty, problem solving and supporting our customers.
This year, in the face of rising inflation, the ability to continue trading or turn around projects within tight timeframes has never been more critical for our clients, and our ability to work within live environments certainly came to the fore.
But our clients know that they are in safe hands. Our one-stop shop, project management approach, and ability to tap into a wide range of specialists, has enabled us to create solutions for our customers. From helping them generate a new revenue stream by maximising spaces, to offering solutions which meet sustainability goals.
The industries we work within are continually evolving so it is vital, as a business, that we continue to adapt and be one step ahead.
Our long-standing clients within the hospitality industry have continued to go from strength to strength this year with several projects completed for Admiral Taverns, Oakman Inns and Holiday Inn, and we were delighted, at the start of the year, to add The Chestnut Group to our client base.
Our work with golf clubs, universities and the retail sector has also gone from strength to strength with many large projects completed successfully and there are many projects in the pipeline for next year.
At the heart of our company, is our team. From our in-house employees to our contractors and partners, the collaboration and commitment from each and every one underpins the success of CIC. It is this dedication which ensures that we are a safe pair of hands, and we would like to thank each and every one who plays their part.
Our in-house team has grown over the year to meet increasing demand and will continue to do so into the New Year. On a personal note, my own family has grown this year too with the addition of my first grandchild, Felicity!
So, from my family to yours and from the entire CIC family we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and good health and happiness for 2023!
Andy Teague, Managing Director, CIC
