Refurbishing Manchester's Hotel Facilities

Manchester is steeped in history. The city was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution and is today as famous for its football teams and cobbles, as it is for being at the epicentre of the British music scene, particularly during the Britpop revolution.

It is also swiftly becoming an economic powerhouse, with recent predictions suggesting that Manchester will be the UK’s third fastest-growing economy between 2024 and 2026. Its transformation in under 20 years is remarkable, from its vibrant tech sector to the transformation of the city’s skyline, and signs are all pointing towards continued growth.

CIC is delighted to have a foothold in Manchester and proud to be a part of facilitating growth within this exciting city, in fact, the work we carried out on the Manchester-based, The Clayton Hotel, marked our biggest-ever contract.

We refurbished several floors of The Clayton Hotel Manchester Airports’ executive tower, a total of 149 bedrooms, all meeting and events areas, corridors, three crew chillout rooms, installed case goods, and replaced all soft furnishings. Delivering a full end-to-end service this £2.5 million project fully showcased the breadth of CIC’s capabilities, from working in a live environment to creating a phased refurbishment schedule and managing all health and safety regulations.

Working in partnership with the owners, The Dalata Hotel Group Plc, we even managed to come under budget and handed one of the phases back early, just before the start of the first lockdown!

CIC is now back on site refurbishing further bedrooms within the hotel and has just completed a refurbishment of its sister site in the City Centre too. Here we altered the restaurant to maximise the space, from removing excess seating areas to create a coffee station and juice bar to the creation of a new waiter station and moveable meet and greet facility to help manage the flow of customers. CIC also refurbished 12 bedrooms to create high-spec suites which maximised the city views of Manchester.
