CIC worked with independent design company, ‘Keen as Mustard’ to tender for the Paris House project. Collaboratively working together on the design and build tender, they won the project by hitting the price point, and re-creating the design feel that Paris House was seeking. One of the key objectives to the refurbishment was to create a dedicated bar and counter display as the owners had previously utilised a mobile drinks trolley. Due to the fact that the property is a listed building, very little could be done to alter the structure of the restaurant. As a result, CIC carefully planned the existing space, allowing for the installation of a bar and display counter for the first time, while creating a modern, bright, dining environment.
Additional improvements included laying new flooring and installing pocket oak doors and fret screens to create a flexible private dining space on the ground floor. Teal and grey colours were incorporated into the décor and furnishings for a vibrant and contemporary feel, which would also compliment the traditional surroundings, and hand crafted furniture, of Paris House.
