FE Colleges to benefit from government pledge
We need to make our FE Colleges fit for purpose. In the shadow of universities, FE Colleges within the UK have often faced challenges in gaining political attention and funding. Now, with rising calls for colleges to teach students a wider range of skills to meet the demand for new talent across different industries, the Government has brought forward its £200 million pledge to repair and upgrade FE Colleges. Running alongside the ten-year School Rebuilding Programme, the investment is part of the country’s economic recovery.
Upgrading poor condition college buildings with modern, energy-efficient designs will give students and teachers not only the environment they deserve but a learning space that is fit for the future.
