Over £11,000 Raised for Cardiomyopathy UK
We’re thrilled to share an update on Andy Teague’s fundraising efforts: Andy and the rest of the team have successfully completed the 50km Jurassic Coast Challenge, tackling some of the UK’s most rugged and beautiful coastline — all in support of Cardiomyopathy UK.
This incredible feat brings their total fundraising to over £11,000, a milestone that reflects not only their physical effort but also the overwhelming generosity and support from friends, family, and the wider community.
As this year’s Captain of The Millbrook Golf Club, Andy chose Cardiomyopathy UK as his charity for a deeply personal reason. The condition has directly impacted his family but thanks to the research, treatment, and support provided by Cardiomyopathy UK that Andy’s wife, Clare, is still here today.
Cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle that affects 1 in 250 people in the UK, can lead to sudden cardiac death if undiagnosed or unmanaged. It’s a condition that often goes unnoticed until it’s too late, which is why awareness and early intervention are so critical.
This fundraising achievement doesn’t just support vital research, it helps provide guidance and reassurance to families facing the uncertainty of diagnosis. Every step walked, every pound raised, and every message of support moves us closer to a future where people living with this condition can do so with knowledge, care, and hope.
To everyone who donated, cheered from the sidelines, or helped spread the word: thank you. And to Andy and the team — your determination, compassion, and leadership are truly inspiring.
Andy’s fundraising page remains open if you’d like to contribute or read more about the cause. Let’s keep the momentum going!
