Call in the hotel renovation experts to help deliver customer satisfaction

According to reports, noise is currently one of the top-ranking negative comments relating to a hotel stay, so it should be a high-priority issue to fix. At a time when the majority of hotel customers are feeling the cost-of-living squeeze, ensuring that they get the most out of their hotel stay is essential. It’s proven that over 85% of guests will not recommend a hotel if they have had a bad experience so instead of tackling the problem when the complaint hits either the reception desk or social media, there are incremental changes which can be made to ensure noise doesn’t become an issue in the first place.

This doesn’t have to mean tearing down walls and installing soundproofing insulation. Large, fluffy furnishings like beds and couches can soak up a lot of noise, as can rugs, curtains and blankets, as can positioning furniture along the walls to catch sound before it passes to the next room. If hotel rooms are having a touch-up, consider coating the walls with a paint which acts like a ‘sound sponge’ or install door sweeps to negate any noise from the corridors seeping in. After a turbulent couple of years, maintaining guest satisfaction and protecting a property’s reputation is essential to the hospitality industry, so any small alterations could make a big difference.
